Short URL Generator Tutorial
In this section, to use our short URL service, you only need to input the URL you want to shorten and click the "SHORT IT" button to generate a short URL from us. But wait, there's more! We have optional features that you can choose to enhance your experience.
When you press the "options" button, several text boxes will appear that you can fill in:
Custom URL
You can make your short URL more specific by entering a custom URL here. So if you want the URL to be https://kontak.top/mylink, you just need to enter "mylink" in the custom URL field. You are free to enter anything here, but with the following conditions:
- Minimum allowed characters: 3
- Maximum allowed characters: 9
- Characters must be (case-sensitive): letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. If there are other characters in the custom URL, it will still generate, but the link will be random and won't follow the custom URL you entered.
Password
This is used to lock your short link, so not everyone can access it. Only people with access can open your short link. This is useful if you want to share things that are confidential, private, or exclusive. The conditions for the password are that only alphanumeric characters (case-sensitive) are allowed.
Histat Site ID
You can view visitor traffic statistics using your own Histats account, so you'll know where visitors to your short link are coming from. Histats is a well-known site tracking provider because of its ease of use and completeness in processing tracking data. The condition for filling in this column is that only numbers are allowed.
To set up your statistics, follow these steps:
- Register at histats.com, this site is free of charge.
- After entering the control panel, click the "add a website" button.
- In this section, fill in all the necessary fields. For the site URL, enter our site URL in full, for example, https://kontak.top/. For the stat visibility, you can set it to "site stat only visible to you."
- After finishing, click continue, you will be taken back to the initial control panel page. Find the stats you just created and click to go to the data statistics for that stat.
- In the address bar, you will see something like: https:// www.histats.com/ viewstats/ ?act=2&sid=123456. The number 123456 is what you need to enter in the Histats site ID column on this site.
- Congratulations, your short URL now has its own stats and can be tracked whenever you want without our intervention.
Whatsapp Link Generator Tutorial
In this section, to use our WhatsApp link generator service, there are several steps you need to follow:
- Choose your country code in the country code column. For example, for the United States, choose (+1); for Indonesia, choose (+62), etc.
- Enter your phone number in the phone number column.
- For the message part, you can skip it if you want, but if you fill it in, feel free to do so.
- You also need to fill in the custom URL. You are free to enter anything here, but with the following conditions:
- Minimum allowed characters: 3
- Maximum allowed characters: 9

After that, click the "Generate It" button, and congratulations, you now have your own unique WhatsApp link.
